Well I finally got a bit of time here (finally).

So long story short I was floundering at school and was generally unhappy with my living situation. I was initially planning on moving way out of state but during my planning phase I got into a class with a really good teacher who essentially saved my academic career, though he doesn't know it yet. That and I moved into a much better place with plenty of space for myself (well ok my own room really) so for now I'm not going anywhere.

Well I'm back for now, it's been a bit of an absence and quite a lot has happened but I'll talk about that later when I have more time. It's been along while and things have stabilized a lot, I didn't end up moving (as far as I was initially planning anyways) and I'm doing well in school finally. On top of all of that I'm now taking violin lessons, go me!

So things have been pretty good for me recently.

I got a call back from two different jobs I have interviews on Wed. and Thur. (go go Toys 'R Us).

I've moved most of the things that I do so far to Linux, Ubuntu 6.10 specifically. I'm doing pretty good with learning my way around Linux but some things still just baffle and agitate me.

I have also began to start taking the steps to cut ties permanently with my parents, it's scary to start down the path a first but the more I think about it the more free I feel; I'm finally going to get the chance to just be me and not worry about hiding parts of me away for fear of harsh judgement. Along that same line I've also found a (soon to be) roommate and a pretty good friend in one of my brother's ex-girlfriends, he doesn't seem to mind too much so I figure no big deal. Recently we've been exploring a bit more of Portland OR and I think we're going to move there, it's just so neat there we found an old school that had been turned into a theater/restaurant/hotel it's got lots of character as well as wonderful seats.

It's been raining like mad here recently and it's starting to flood here a bit too, honestly though it's about time what is Washington without rain anyways?

Moving a computer in to my room today (hopefully). If so I'll have more privacy and the work area I need and that will (hopefully) give me the space I need to work on things.

Mix tape is going to be slightly late, I have been conscripted into dinner tonight with parents, but it will be up before I go to sleep.

I will have a new mix tape done and up by friday night as well posting more of what has been going on.

I also had a friend bring over the first season of House. That show is probably some of the best TV I have seen in a very long time, granted I don't watch much TV, but man I love me some House.

It's been a rough week, I spent most of it moving a lot of my stuff (still) as well as cleaning up my new living area so *some* of my goals have been neglected *cough*drawing reading*cough*, but honestly I see it as fair trade for what I have gotten cleaned up and moved here. I also did get a hold of a bike as well turned out that one of our collective old bikes had just gotten serviced. So no new goals for the week other than keep plugging away at cleaning, it's slow but it's progress.

Never look back and walk forward.

Edit: I also have to stop playing World of Warcraft, that game is going to eat all of my free time!

It's been a week I met most of my goals though some of the week was rough going, but that's ok I still did pretty good overall.

I got some stock photos off the internet and I'm drawing from them, I'm told that's the best way to get better at any kind of drawing but I still can't draw faces very well at all. Just gotta keep going forward small step by small step.

Here's to stepping out of my saftey zone, I'm going to be trying something tonight might be disastrous but hey I gotta try right? Good luck to me.

Never look back and walk forward.

All I have to say is with 19 credits it's hard to keep your head above water.

My dad makes fun of homeless people in his car as he drives by, that makes me so mad. More tomorrow I'm exhausted.

I got the cats from my parents' house very recently, they're walking around in my room with the lights off now.

I have furry sharks circling me.

Time to wake up apparently

Ugh bad morning, up way earlier than I wanted to be, at least it wasn't sometime in the middle of the night, thanks brain.

So I've been on a bit of a reading spell recently I'll write more about that later, but for right now I can't bring myself to get past chapter 1 of V., by Thomas Pynchon. I really loved it but I seem to be afraid that the rest of the book won't be as good, yes I know that's rather silly, yes I probably will read more today.

What is a waste of time? Couldn't anything we do be considered a waste of time?

Goals

So I did just about everything on my list, I fell pretty good about that. My brother's birthday is this week so I really am not going to be able to get much done until taht's over with, so for now I set my goal for when it is over:

1. Start looking for a job, or least what kind of a job
2. Get on a normal sleep schedule even if that means staying up the entire time I would sleep normally.

Doesn't sound like much but when you're starting from square one and especially hesitant to do anything this go around it can mean a lot.
